Mortgage Comparison: USA: Washington vs USA: Atlanta!

Welcome to today's daily mortgage comparison! Giving you mortgage comparisons from two of the biggest cities in the USA!

Sidenote - Sorry my posts have been so irregular recently, a shitty internet provider and some personal problems have caused me to be offline alot of the time, but im back in business ;D

Now here we have the USA, city of Washington!,
Washington is the capital of the United States, founded on July 16, 1790. The U.S. Constitution allows for the creation of a special district to serve as the permanent national capital. The District is therefore not a part of any U.S. state and is instead directly overseen by the federal government. Within the District, a new capital city was founded in 1791 and named in honor of George Washington. The City of Washington, along with Georgetown and outlying areas within the federal district, were placed under a single, unified government following an act of Congress in 1871. It is for this reason that the city, while legally named the District of Columbia, is known as Washington, D.C. The city shares its name with the U.S. state of Washington located on the country's Pacific coast.

Average House Price: $230,000
Average Mortgage:  $250,700

And here we have the USA, the city of Atlanta!
Atlanta is the capital and most populous city in the U.S. state of Georgia. According to the 2010 census, Atlanta's population is 420,003. The Atlanta metropolitan area, with 5,268,860 people, is the third largest in the Southeastern United States and the ninth largest in the country. The Atlanta Combined Statistical Area, a larger trade area, has a population approaching six million and is the largest in the Southeast. Like many urban areas in the Sun Belt, the Atlanta region has seen increasing growth since the 1970s, and it added about 1.1 million residents between 2000 and 2008.

Average House Price: $180,000
Average Mortgage:  $200,000

So theres the facts guys, Atlanta is cheaper but Washington is the countries capital! definatly a hard decision but where would you rather live? ;D

  2. Would probably opt for Washington just because it's the capital and has a lot of history and culture. Sounds quite sad when I think about it but I suppose that's worth the extra money!

  6. Atlanta Georgia is full of crime, I'd prefer Seattle, the capital of Washington. Washington D.C. is the capital of the USA.
